Weddings at the Zoo
There is always a first time for everything. What is believed to be the first wedding at the Staten Island Zoo, Daniel Orrichio and Lisa Marie Smith, a young Staten couple, tied the knot in October of 2004 in front of many family and friends, the human and animal kind too!

Daniel and Lisa Marie, who both grew up in Oakwood, Staten Island, enjoyed a splendid ceremony that was performed at the Zoo's Pavilion under a floral trellis. Following the ceremony, their guests enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of New York's Biggest Littlest Zoo.

Auditorium Wedding

Since then two more weddings have occurred at the Zoo as well as other events such as anniversary parties and birthday parties.

The Zoo can accommodate outside weddings and indoor ones as well utilizing the newly renovated auditorium.

Birthday Parties at the Zoo
Birthday parties at the Zoo are designed for children who are turning 4 years of age and older. Parties include an instructor, live animal demonstration, game or story, animal craft, and goodie bags. Other Family Occasions\Corporate Events
The Zoo has adequate space and accommodations to host corporate events or any type of family celebration such as anniversary parties, communions, and bar mitzvahs. Catering can also be provided for parties and corporate events through the Staten Island Zoo café.
